Fees

The cost of standard membership of the Law Society is €85. However, discounted fees also apply as follows:

• Less than one year qualified and admitted in current year - €20
• Less than three years qualified - €55
• Unemployed and registered with Career Support - Complimentary
• More than 50 years qualified - Complimentary

Membership benefits

Taking out or renewing membership of the Law Society entitles you to many benefits, including:

• A vote in annual elections for the Council of the Law Society

Digital Law Directory 

Following member feedback and a decision by the Law Society Council, the Law Directory is now available as a free digital service to members on your mobile phone or tablet.

The digital version contains all the same practitioner details and resources as the printed Law Directory, and will reflect any status and firm changes as soon as they are saved to our system.

Members only

The digital Law Directory is only available to current members of the Law Society. Membership for 2023 can be renewed along with your Practising Certificate, or using the online membership-only form.

Opt-in for printed Directory 

Now we have a digital Law Directory, printed versions will only be sent to those who opt in to receive it.
